On Saturday, March 21, 2015, we will be holding a “SMAC-A-THON” fundraiser at Northside Pool. The purpose is to raise funds to resurface and re-tile the pool.
GOAL: To raise between $15,000 and $20,000. It is an aggressive goal but if every family raises at least $100, we will be more than half-way to our minimum goal.
EVENT SCHEDULE: The event will start at 8:30 a.m. and go to 12 Noon. Each SMAC swim group will be scheduled to swim together for no more than 2 hours each with the goal lap count as follows:
Bronze Team – 50 Laps Silver Team – 75 Laps
Gold Team – 150 Laps Junior/Senior Teams – 200 Laps
The swim group with the highest percentage of participation will be rewarded with a pizza party. The swim group earning the most money will receive a sweet treat party.
Festivities will include:
-Team Pictures -Lap Swims
- Fun with coaches -Raffle Drawings
RAFFLES AND INCENTIVES
We will hold raffle drawings throughout the event. Prizes will be made up of SMAC tshirts and items donated by local businesses. Swimmers will receive 1 raffle ticket for participating. They may earn other raffle tickets by:
Ø*Sending donation request letters and/or emails – for every 5 sent, the swimmer will receive an additional raffle ticket
ØEarning donations – every $50 earned and turned on or by the day of the event = 1 raffle ticket
Swimmers earning a minimum of $25 will earn a cool new t-shirt. These and other SMAC T-shirts will also be sold at the event.
We are offering very generous incentives based on total dollars raised:

please note-participants will only receive the item at the highest level of their fundraising unless they earn $2500 or more. those swimmers will enjoy one prize from each level.
We need the help of our SMAC families to make this a success. Ways you can help:
1.Support your swimmer’s fundraising efforts (*see sample letters and fundraising form) and make sure they sign up by March 7.
2.Provide us with contacts in local businesses that may be willing to donate money or prizes to the event or contact those businesses. We can provide a receipt for their donation since we are a non-profit organization.
3.Help on the day of the event as needed. See sign up at the pool. Those that volunteer may earn $5 toward Spring Quarterly Fundraising

SMAC Swimmers swim well at 14 & Under State Championships - Led by Jared Taylor's 2 team records , Swim Macon swam to several best times at the Georgia 14 & Under State Championships. Jared broke the 13-14 1000 yd Freestyle record by 4 secs with a time of 10:24.86 for a 10th place finish.. He also broke one of the oldest team records from 1982 in the 500yd Freestyle in a time of 5:00.01 for a 6th place finish. Jared also placed 9th in the 50 Free. Charles Gaines placed 10th in the 11yr old 50 Fly. Aiden Hichkad had 8 out of 9 best times in the 13 yr old division. Victor swam to 7 best times in the 10 & under boys division. Peggy Boltja had 4 best times in the 10 & under Girls. Athena Leskovics had 2 personal best swims. In the 11-12 Girls division, Emma Smith had 3 Best times and Katelyn Taylor had 1 best time. In the Boys 10 & unders Yusuke Tsutsumi had 7 best times out of 9 swim. Well done SMAC swimmers !!

After ordering, bring a copy of your invoice to the pool and place it in Coach Lee's folder and we will credit 8% of the order towards Fundraising. Remember meet fees need to be paid before the meet. Your meet fees will be placed in your folder, the day after the meet deadline.
Please don't forget to link your Kroger Plus Card to Swim Macon for our Community Rewards Program. It needs to be re-linked annually beginning in September.
To link your Kroger card go to your Kroger Account on-line,log-in to Kroger.com, go to the Community drop down menu and click on Community Rewards and type in Swim Macon for the search and link to card.
